“I have been designing and making furniture for the past 30 years. Since the age of 12, I have been making huge oak dining tables, my first out of oak floorboards found in my Grandfather’s attic.

As web technology took off approx. 5 years ago, I realised there was an opportunity to design my own range of oak furniture, displaying my original prototypes on the website and in our barn showroom, thereby reducing the usual burden of “shop overheads.”

Using the barn as a showroom as a place where customers can visit and discuss their needs, we have now established a thriving niche business making hand-made oak furniture for clients both at home and overseas.

Design

The contemporary design of my oak furniture will bring a wonderful change to any room and offers a distinct break from tradition. Our pale blond European Oak will give you great strength and durability. We also offer very hard-wearing, spill-resistant fabrics with beautiful textures which you can choose for oak Dining Chairs.

All my energies are focused into designing oak furniture that is both elegant and resilient, and chairs that combine fine looks with extreme comfort. To withstand daily use they are rigorously put to the test in our busy family kitchen. It is paramount to the success of my designs that the furniture, chair fabrics and woodfinishes can withstand the daily knocks by children, pets, stains etc.

Each piece often takes 4-6 months to personally design. The complexities of designing in pale blond solid oak are huge, often resulting in 10-20 prototype sketches being rejected before I am satisfied with it. Inspiration for new designs comes from my travels around the world. My newest designs include custom -made oak coffee tables, sliding door oak sideboards for ease of access, extending oak dining tables and slipcover oak dining chairs.
