Oak Dining Chairs
Fully upholstered oak dining chairs, Slip-cover chairs, wooden-framed
chairs, kitchen chairs. My
collection of oak chair designs has grown from strength
to strength, and can now be found in homes as diverse
as ski chalets, holiday homes in Barbados, Bermuda,
Ireland, Provence, and family homes in the Channel
Islands!
My
oak chairs have been designed for complete and utter comfort,
ever since I got backache sitting too long at various
parties in short uncomfortable chairs. They have been
designed to be sat in for hour after hour , all sumptuously
beautiful, all hand-made, hand-tailored, and hand-finished
in eclectic ranges of fabric colours
in specifically chosen fabrics which are tolerant enough
to withstand breakfast, lunch, tea and supper, and still
look fabulous for a smart dinner in the evening.
Solid
wooden framed chairs are very practical in the kitchen
but so also are fully upholstered chairs with carefully
chosen washable fabrics or gorgeous coloured or distressed
butter soft leathers.
The
strong construction of my oak chair frames include dowel
and mortice joints, strong corner blocks fixed to the
frame, and full upholstered webbed backs and carefully
domed seats in multi-densities to get the seating comfort
exactly right. As a result my chairs are a lot heavier
than those copied by the “High Street”.
All
are hand-made and hand-tailored.
