This large dining room table was launched during the week of the Royal Wedding and is named in celebration of this fact, with Kate being a local Berkshire girl. A fabulous substantial design which gives a clean modern uplift to square and rectangular tables, with its mighty 85mm deep square table top edge, supported by its gracefully stepped pedestal base.
Our Middleton table design is intended for use for tables that are custom made with dimensions over 120cm wide (ideally 130cm), the table can be made to measure in a square or rectangular design which we find highlights the fine detail of the edge profile to its best advantage, particularly when made out of solid oak or walnut.
The unique development of the very carefully hand mitred table edge joint can also be replicated in a single wide 70cm table flap, crafted into the centre of the dining room table, providing the possibilities of a square table becoming rectangular, or a large rectangular table becoming larger still.
The huge scale of this modern table also works incredibly well when combined with our Laidback armchairs around it, or any of our side chairs and benches (and is particularly luxurious when teamed with several different hues of natural coloured leather chairs).
This table’s extension flap folds away using a unique folding edge, which we pioneered on our Infinity table. Heavy duty aluminium rails combined with ball bearing runners give a very smooth action when extended, only to be neatly folded away when the party is over.
The same edge profile detail can be used on our twin pedestal Downton dining room table, for rectangular tables over 280cm long.
